Most recently, Catrin Nye publicly said she hopes that everyone leaves Lighthouse. That is not the voice of a neutral reporter. It is the voice of someone who is desperate for Lighthouse and the work that it does to cease to exist.
The question is why? Is it because Lighthouse is a genuine threat to citizens globally, and she cares about her fellow citizens so much or does she and the BBC have a darker motive?
As is being evidenced through this site and all of the work being done through Lighthouse Global and its subsidiaries, she wants Paul S Waugh and Lighthouse to disappear because she thinks that by doing so, the record of her deception of citizens globally will hopefully disappear with it. NO CHANCE!! ZERO… ABSOLUTELY NOT!!
But.. anyway she is asking the wrong question.
The real questions are these:
When will Catrin Nye be leaving the BBC?
Or, when will the BBC decide that protecting her is no longer worth the cost?
Or, when will she have to leave because the BBC itself, in its current form, can no longer survive what it has done?
This site exists to show, patiently and with full evidence, why those questions can no longer be avoided.
1. Why Catrin Nye wants Lighthouse to disappear

At the heart of this story is one fact: Catrin Nye wants Lighthouse to disappear because this group refuses to let her try and hide away and escape the truth about her own lies and deceptions.
- She has deceived the British public through a pattern of maliciously false accusations about Lighthouse and its people, and she refuses to take responsibility for over 140 falsehoods in A Very British Cult.
- Because she will not repent or correct the record, she believes the only way to escape accountability is if Lighthouse is destroyed or disappears, so that no one is left to confront her with the evidence and the truth.
- Lighthouse is not really a “danger to the public” in her mind (we never were) so much as a danger to the false image she has built for herself and to the maliciously false narrative she sold to the BBC and its audience.
- Every substantive claim Lighthouse has made about Catrin Nye has been backed with evidence, documents, recordings, and public material. This site exists precisely to lay that out. As stated at the top of the homepage on this site. If what we have written here wasn’t true the BBC and Catrin Nye would have sued us a long time ago.
- She has tried to destroy Lighthouse’s reputation and existence using the BBC’s reach. Yet Lighthouse continues to go from strength to strength, as has been noted by our growing following and support of our work. What this means for Catrin Nye is that her deception will follow her for as long as she remains unrepentant and refuses to take responsibility.
At the deepest level, what she foolishly wants to try to destroy is not actually Lighthouse itself but the truth Lighthouse stands for. She behaves as if one group of people can be silenced or driven out of existence, then the truth they carry will die with them and she will never be held to account.
But that is impossible. Truth is not owned by one small group. The body of Christ is one body, spread across time and nations, and it cannot be killed by erasing a single part of it. The partners in Lighthouse are simply one small part of that body, called to be suffering servants and warriors for the glory of God, not seekers of personal glory. Even if one part is attacked, the whole body still stands, in the strength of God’s Spirit.
The question is no longer simply, “Who are Lighthouse?” It is, “Who is Catrin Nye and what has she done, and how long can the BBC afford to continue to cover up for her?”
2. Why someone like Catrin Nye is drawn to the BBC

For someone like Catrin Nye, with a desperate need for recognition, the BBC is the perfect hiding place.
- It offers people from ordinary or damaged backgrounds a fast track to profile and influence, backed by one of the most powerful brands in British public life. A place they can feel important.
- It allows them to wrap their unresolved personal pain in institutional authority, fronting stories that bring them notoriety while they hide behind Auntie BBC’s skirt.
- The quiet bargain is simple: “Do our bidding, carry our narratives, and the institution will protect you.” Or will it?
2.1 What kind of person chooses to work for the BBC now?

That raises a harder question: what kind of person looks at the BBC’s heinous record and still chooses to tie themselves to it?
- This is an organisation with a horrific, documented history of child sex abuse and cover‑ups, from Jimmy Savile onwards.
- It has protected abusers, silenced victims, and only takes any responsibility when they are forced to, once the evidence is overwhelming and the public outcry unavoidable.
- It enforces a forced licence fee on the British public, backed by the threat of prosecution, and then uses its platforms to negatively indoctrinate that same captive audience into trusting it as a neutral, benevolent “national treasure”.
For someone who truly cares about children, justice, and truth, that history should be a cause for deep shame and separation, not pride and careerism.
Yet Catrin Nye has chosen not only to work there, but to become a front‑line face of its narratives. She is not an ignorant junior who has never heard of Savile, Bashir, or the BBC’s record on abuse and cover‑ups. In fact she was working on the newsnight team that oversaw the coverup of Jimmy Savile’s child abuse.. and yet while still one of its lower level employees that they throw the trashy smears to, she stays. She fronts its hit‑pieces. What does that say about her Character?
That choice speaks volumes about the kind of validation she wants:
- She is prepared to borrow authority from an institution with a proven record of desecrating the vulnerable, because the brand and platform it gives her feel worth it.
- She is willing to cash in the compulsory licence‑fee trust of the public in order to sell blatantly deceptive stories like A Very British Cult, rather than use that platform to help the country face the BBC’s own darkest chapters.
Anyone who understands the BBC’s history and still chooses to stay, without committing themselves to exposing and reforming the BBC at its roots, should be ashamed to stand under its logo. That shame does not just belong to “the BBC” in the abstract. It belongs to every individual who continues to benefit from the brand while refusing to confront what it has done. That includes every employee, every freelancer, everyone who the BBC outsources to.. and yes every single person who continues to pay a licence fee and consume their news and entertainment shows (it’s hard to tell the difference between the two with the BBC now).
For Catrin Nye, that bargain has been irresistible. The tragedy is that, as history keeps showing, the BBC’s seeming protection of its micro-puppets like Nye always has an expiry date.
You see.. What Nye and her fellow BBC chums fail to realise is that the BBC is never interested in protecting them primarily. It is only interested in protecting itself. The establishment will not sacrifice itself for you. The establishment is only here to sacrifice you.. and if it is protecting you, that is only because of its own self interest.
3. How the BBC uses ambitious journalists

- The BBC as the mouthpiece for the establishment needs journalists and presenters who are prepared to front controversial, agenda‑driven stories while believing the institution will shield them from consequences.
- But history shows that when pressure mounts and evidence accumulates, the BBC will sacrifice individuals to protect their brand.
- There are multiple examples where journalists and presenters were initially backed, protected, and even covered for, then slowly distanced from and finally left to carry the blame once the truth started to come out. The message is: “If it’s you or the BBC, it will be you.”
- With Jimmy Savile, serious concerns and evidence about his predatory behaviour were ignored and/or buried for years while he fronted flagship BBC programmes. Only when the truth could no longer be contained did the Corporation swing to public outrage and distance, leaving the individuals who enabled and covered for him scrambling for explanations.
- With Martin Bashir, the BBC backed and rewarded him for the Princess Diana interview, despite questions about forged documents and manipulation. Decades later, when investigations exposed what had been done, Bashir was left to carry the scandal while the BBC tried to rewrite its own role.
- With presenters like Huw Edwards, the BBC first closed ranks and managed the story, but once the institutional risk became too great, distance and “process” took over. The individual becomes the lightning rod. The brand moves on.
- The BBC says it will protect Catrin Nye… but for how long and at what cost?
Catrin Nye is operating inside this same pattern. For as long as she is useful, the BBC will defend and platform her. When the cost of doing so becomes too high, she will discover she is a micropuppet in their show, one that can and will be easily sacrificed.
4. Personal responsibility vs hiding behind the institution

- Lighthouse’s stance has been consistent: hold the BBC accountable as an institution, but do not allow individual journalists to hide behind that institution.
- After the Second World War, it was not just “the Nazi Party” that was held accountable. Individual perpetrators were confronted, named, and judged for their own choices.
- In the same way, Catrin Nye cannot hide forever behind the BBC logo, the production team, or vague references to “editorial processes”. She made specific decisions, framed people in particular ways, and approved particular lines and claims. Ultimately all the responsibility comes down to her, her partner in life and crime Jamie Bartlett, Natalie Truswell and Ravin Sampat.
- When the cost of shielding those decisions becomes too high for the BBC, the institution will step back and leave her carrying the consequences of the abomination she fronted.
5. What Catrin Nye chooses not to report on

If Catrin Nye were sincerely driven by concern for children, families, and the British public, as she postures she is, there are huge and obvious areas of danger and abuse that deserve rigorous investigation. Yet she consistently chooses seemingly safer targets that protect the establishment rather than expose it.
She could, for example, to name but a few:
- Confront the Cult of Islam: Islamic doctrine and classical law contains certain texts which have long been used to justify and encourage violent conquest and rape, marriage and rape of prepubescent children, death for apostasy, and abusive treatment of captives. Britain is currently being ravaged by this cult…
- Expose grooming gangs, rape scandals, and systemic failures of the establishment around the protection of children.
- Investigate how the breakdown of the family has been driven by establishment policies, and how that collapse has scarred countless people, including in ways that mirror her own life experience.
- Investigate why so few human beings come anywhere close to realising their God-given potential and what to do about it.
Instead, she uses the BBC’s platform to inflame stories like Lighthouse, which offer profile and controversy without threatening the deeper machinery of state, media, and corporate power. The notoriety she gains is superficial, and shallow. It is the notoriety of someone prepared to front attacks on what she originally thought was a convenient and easy target, not the courage of someone willing to go where the real danger and responsibility lie.
6. How the BBC see Lighthouse as a threat
Lighthouse is not just holding individuals like Catrin Nye accountable. It is documenting and exposing the behaviour of powerful institutions and those who front for them.
- Through its work on the BBC and its coverage of Lighthouse, we are revealing how the Corporation functions as a mouthpiece for the wider establishment rather than an honest broker for the public.
- There is a pattern here
- The BBC selects targets like Lighthouse that they think are small enough to try to crush
- It then frames them as a threat to the public, while carefully avoiding deeper questions about the state, big media, and corporate power.
- When Lighthouse responds with evidence and detailed standards-based analysis, the establishment’s priority becomes silencing and attempting to discredit that response.
In this light, the push to destroy Lighthouse is not about “protecting the public” or “in the public interest” at all. It is about silencing those who are exposing institutions like the BBC, the Establishment and its mouthpieces from a body of evidence that devastates it.
The soon to be released inaugural edition of The Lighthouse is going to be a massive exposé of the Establishment Cult agenda and its mouthpieces.
7. The BBC’s double game with the public and the government

- The BBC now seeks greater financial security and protection from the government, lobbying for funding and backing while simultaneously claiming to hold power to account.
- That means it cannot meaningfully expose the same establishment whose favour and money it is seeking.
- Journalists like Catrin Nye become useful lightning rods: they can attack safe, carefully selected targets while leaving deeper structural corruption untouched.
- In this arrangement, the British public is told to fear independent groups or communities like Lighthouse, while being distracted from the BBC’s own role in shaping narratives, suppressing dissent, and normalising state overreach.
8. In Summary: You cannot kill the truth

At the core of this conflict is not simply a battle over reputations, but a battle over truth.
- Catrin Nye behaves as if destroying Lighthouse would mean destroying the truth that confronts her. If one group can be silenced, she imagines that the lies she has told will stand unchallenged.
- But the truth does not belong to Lighthouse. The body of Christ is one body, across generations and nations. Lighthouse is one small part of that body, called to be a community of suffering servants and warriors who bear witness to Christ.
- You cannot kill the truth by attacking one part of that body. Even if Lighthouse were scattered, the truth about what has been done here – and about what she has done – would still stand before God and before history.
This is why her project is ultimately hopeless. She is not only fighting a small group of people. She is fighting against reality as God defines it, against a truth that will outlast both her career and the institution whose power she is borrowing.
9. Why Catrin Nye will ultimately be on her own

- Catrin Nye currently fits the BBC perfectly: ambitious, willing to front hit‑pieces, and prepared to stand on stories that serve the institution and the wider establishment.
- But as the evidence mounts and the BBC’s failures become harder to hide, there will come a point where protecting her is no longer worth the institutional cost.
- At that point, the pattern will repeat: the BBC will distance itself, adjust its “editorial standards” language, and subtly shift blame onto the individual journalist.
The question this article raises is simple and sobering:
At what point does Catrin Nye realise that the institution she trusted to protect her career will leave her alone with the record of what she has done?
That is when the real question will no longer be “When will Catrin Nye leave the BBC?” but rather: “What will she do when the BBC leaves her?”

A very insightful article… it’s so true that the BBC will willingly drop anyone whose employ will be too damaging for its reputation. Hence we see the likes of Huw Edwards, Tim Davie, Deborah Turness and Gary Lineker dropped like hot potatoes when required.
I find it incredibly delusional for someone like Catrin Nye at the BBC with its heinous history of child sexual abuse, propaganda and scandal to be wishing for Lighthouse Associates to be leaving Lighthouse. I pray for Catrin Nye to open her eyes, to see the reality of the situation and to repent.
I find it bizarre and comical that Catrin Nye would be vocal about anything to do with Lighthouse or anyone else, since she has consciously chosen to work for an organisation with a deeply disturbing character and reputation.
As we have seen over and over with the BBC, they will remove anyone who threatens the perception of their reputation and will stop at nothing to deter citizens from looking too closely at them by focussing on others. The method is wearing extremely thin…citizens are starting to see the true nature of the BBC….and it is truly grotesque!
I agree. The BBC are foul and their toxicity is oozing out from the pores, more and more people are seeing it. Just recently they’ve been found out manipulating program to attack a Reform party member who anti-immigration.
This article clearly exposes the predatory nature of Catrin Nye and the BBC more broadly, particularly in how they report and what they ultimately intend to achieve through that reporting.
Very, very true.
The BBC and the establishment will always protect itself before anyone else, and will only protect one of it’s own while they are useful.
As soon as that situation changes, then presenters, producers and those who are informing the BBC, it’s sources, will all be thrown under the bus.
The BBC will cry ‘We didn’t lie intentionally, we just reported what our sources said.’ But this defence will not stand the test of time since true journalism is designed to accurately report facts and not opinion, or pre-arranged smear pieces as we see with ‘A Very British Cult’.
What really struck me here is how disturbing it is to say “I hope you leave” about anything. Imagine saying that about a marriage or a relationship — “I hope you break up,” “I hope you get divorced.” We instinctively know how destructive and wrong that kind of language is. It doesn’t resolve anything; it just reveals a desire to erase rather than reckon.
So when Catrin Nye says she hopes that our brothers, and we, leave Lighthouse, it says far more about the culture she’s embedded in than about those she’s targeting. And it also reframes the real question. It’s not when any of us will leave, that’s not the question — it’s why she, and others like her, remain at the BBC at all, given what it has repeatedly shown itself to be.
After scandal after scandal, distortion after distortion, no other organisation with a track record like the BBC’s would still be standing unquestioned. At some point the honest question becomes: if this is who the BBC keeps proving itself to be, why stay loyal to it? This article names that tension clearly — and it’s long overdue.
Such an important point from the article. How is Lighthouse, being a small organisation that has been in research mode, getting so much attention from the BBC, a whole documentary and podcast, and mention of a follow up series? So when Catrin Nye calls for people to leave, there is definitely an agenda going on, which seems very destructive. There’s no call for reform, just calls for the organisation to end. It’s interesting, we make our wrongs right, but does the BBC? Not if they think they can get away with it. Truth is catching up with her, and it’s going to be very painful for her future. We pray they make it right by doing the right thing.Such an important point from the article. Licence fee payers (and the UK taxpayer) ought to be outraged how millions of public money is being invested in trying to destroy the people and work of those at Lighthouse. With Catrin Nye calling for us to leave then she clearly has no idea what Lighthouse is about, why we joined and where we came from.
Meanwhile, the fact that Catrin Nye continues to work with an organisation that is rife with abuse and scandal speaks volume about her and her standards. She’s very coy about her involvement with the BBC Newsnight team that tried to cover up decades of abuse by Jimmy Savile.
The misperception Catrin Nye created through her documythary, “A Very British Cult”, will come to an end, and it will come back to bite her. Truth always prevails, and her lies will be revealed. Looking at the BBC’s scandals that have come to light over the last few years alone shows how rotten the whole organisation is. I would not be surprised in the slightest if the BBC were to drop Catrin Nye like a hot stone. She wants to play the establishment game and attack those who challenge the system and expose lies and falsehoods. This is not against the establishment itself, but against its manipulations and evil agenda. So called journalists like Catrin Nye need to be exposed, and she ought to take a very close look at her values and what motivates her. She finds personal growth boring, as further explored in this article. That says it all.
Yet another powerful article highlighting what needs to be addressed at the BBC and why. Ms Nye has publicly stated that she hopes those left at Lighthouse will leave, yet she chooses to work for an organisation that has brushed child sexual abuse under the carpet.
There have been more allegations of sexual abuse within the BBC since Jimmy Savile and many have been convicted, the latest being Hue Edwards.
The BBC are notorious for cancelling those who they consider a threat, so what about those who they feel are a liability and have served their purpose?
I pray for Catrin Nye because this could happen to her very soon.
